Biography

Fabiana Miccio was born in Sassari on November 3, 1994. In 2014, she graduated in foreign languages and began her academic journey at the Sironi Academy of Sassari, earning a degree with honors (110/110 cum laude) in New Technologies of Art, with a thesis titled "Violence in Contemporary Cinema - Today's Violent Cinema and Possible Developments in Future Technology." In 2024, she specialized in Documentary Cinematography, graduating with honors (110 cum laude) with a thesis titled “Breaking Boundaries: Traditional Cinema, VR 360° Cinema, Artificial Intelligence - The Technological Evolution in Cinema.” That same year, she further expanded her expertise by attending a course for machine operators and electricians at the Sardegna Film Commission. From a young age, she was captivated by framing and composition in photography and video, starting to familiarize herself with her father's camera, taking photos and filming family trips. Her first experiences in the film industry began with work on various short and feature films, during which her interest in directing grew. In 2020, she participated in the artistic residency of the “Cinemartist” festival and produced the short film “Ospitalità” within 48 hours on a zero-budget, receiving several selections.
