Biography

Jerald Nolasco is a Filipino filmmaker, director, cinematographer, photographer, and visual storyteller from Parañaque City, Philippines. He began his creative journey through street photography in 2021, transitioned into cinematography in 2022, and started directing films in 2025. Beyond directing, he has worked as cinematographer on the short films Paro-Paro G (2022), Sa Dulo ng Bahaghari (2023), Self-Care Vlog Contest (2024), and PITIK (2025), with each project shaping his visual storytelling and strengthening his passion for stories inspired by lived experiences. He is the writer and director of Liwanag sa Anino (2026), which received the Gold Award at the Montañosa Film Festival 2026, along with the Ricky Lee Jury Award, Raymond Red Jury Award, and FAP Visions and Voices Award. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts with a specialization in Film, he continues to create films that explore identity, memory, social realities, and the lives of marginalized communities. His work combines cinematic imagery with grounded, human-centered narratives that reflect contemporary Filipino experiences.
